Drainfield Replacement

Septic System Installation

A drain field is designed to allow the treated liquids known as effluent to safely drain into the soil. A drain field is designed to last for a minimum of 20 years. This can be attained as long as the septic system is taken care of properly. This means not using products that can not be organically broken down in your septic system. It ruins the pipes and fills the tank unnecessarily. Signs of a drain field in disrepair may include greener grass over the leach field, slow moving drains or backups on plumbing, sewage odors around the leach field, and wet grounds over the drain field or puddles. Once a drain field is in disrepair a new one needs to be dug out and the old one left to sit. It takes approximately 5-7 years for a leach field to become usable again. Although a drain field may need to be replaced, a knowledgeable septic company like All Septic of New Jersey can tell you if you can save the septic tank and save some money.
